Introduction

ollie AAC ("ollie," the "App") is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) application designed to support communication for individuals with speech or language challenges. This policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the App.

ollie is designed to operate with minimal personal data. Most communication features work without creating user accounts or entering identity information.

This Privacy Policy applies only to users located in the United States.

We do not send:

  • Location

  • Financial data
  • Photos of identifiable people
  • Health or medical records

Users do not need to use AI features to communicate with ollie.

Model Improvement & Optional Data Use

To improve ollie's vocabulary recommendations and contextual suggestions, we may use non-personal, de-identified vocabulary inputs to help enhance future AI performance. This information is used only to improve the quality and accuracy of AAC-related output (e.g., better word predictions, more relevant symbol suggestions).

  • No personal user identity is attached to model improvement data
  • No data is sold to advertisers or brokers
  • No targeted advertising or profiling is performed

Users may turn off model improvement data sharing at any time in the in-app settings menu. Disabling this setting does not affect core AAC functionality.
